FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

WORLDWIDE (2016)Author Stacy Snapp-Killian, creator of the Ten Character Commitments, was recognized with outstanding ratings for her book,“Be Beautiful Being You” in the 23rd annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards.

The author received five out of five marks in all categories recognized in her area, which included: structure, organization and pacing, spelling, punctuation and grammar, production quality and cover design, and voice and writing style.

Judges said,“Be Beautiful Being You” is a fabulous book written by a beautiful, godly woman whose readers would do well to take her advice to groom themselves on the inside as well as the outside so they can be shining lights for the Lord. This is a great book for young women and a good reminder for older women as well.”

“Be Beautiful Being You” takes the Ten Character Commitments Snapp-Killian developed while working to rebuild herself after enduring a childhood exposure of sexual abuse that played out in her adult years through a teen pregnancy, rape and being married to a man who habitually cheated on her during their 10-year marriage.

The character commitments of Compassion, the Spirit, Happiness, Forgiveness, Perseverance, Words, Integrity, Being Humble, Courage, and having Confidence rebuilt her life when she began to journal about these commitments she made to herself more than 15 years ago. The author took her life as a lesson to teach others about how to accept their damaged selves as their most prized possession—and shared it through a 46-page inspirational devotional.

“In this form, and in this style, in such an easy, breezy manner and as a quick read, I think this is a great addition to the current offerings out there,” a competition judge remarked. “Thank you, Stacy, for bringing this book to readers everywhere. I hope many women will pick up this book and take your words to heart.”
