WHAT WILL YOUR WEDDING DRESS SAY ABOUT YOU?

You’ll lose that “moment” everyone talks about the minute you try on dress number 100 because, at that point, it’s no longer about who you are, and more so about pleasing everyone else around you.

Consider the possibility that your wedding dress is there to do more than just make you look good. Whether you’ve found the perfect dress or you’re still looking for the one that best fits you, your wedding gown can indicate more than just your sense of fashion.

I’ve been a transformation expert in the beauty business for almost 25 years now, and if there’s one thing I know, women are the only creatures who create an outward style that represents the inward thoughts they have of themselves.  When you stop to think about it, we can tell a lot about a person based on his or her appearance. And, as I’ve discovered while working with people, we are a blank canvas looking for the perfect covering to describe who we are.

There’s more to the dress you will wear on your wedding day than picking out one that is perfect to go along with your hair.

Your choices aren’t just about a fabric, the color of your bouquet, or selecting a venue. But instead, it is the doorway to creativity allowing you to express your true self. And, this appearance opens up the event around you to accentuate all your beautiful qualities into one day -- the big event.

Basically, your choice in which color wedding dress you’ll wear opens the universe around you, allowing you to become the best version of yourself, and share it with your family and friends.  It’s as fascinating as it sounds. When you consider all the ways manufactures use fashion to represent their style: popularity, religion, and culture; they’ve come a long way since Eve clothed herself with fig leaves.

Your wedding dress color is a combination of your personality, perhaps styling yourself to hide your flaws or enhance your greatest features. The color you choose for yourself is as collaborative a creative energy with your internal thoughts as it is figuring out what you like and dislike about yourself. Visually, you come up with a concept and use your wedding dress to articulate those thoughts.

So, grab the old and the new beliefs you have about yourself, not just your “blue” ones, and allow them to materialize on a physical level.

White

In its purest form, white represents your innocence, wholeness, and perfection when it comes to feeling good. It is a blank canvas waiting to be written upon, opening the way for the creation of anything your mind can imagine, and most brides choose this color for their wedding. Brides are looking to (re)create the purity and innocence, and simplicity of their youth. With this color, you will create all the elements of a classic wedding including; a veil, roses, and of course, borrowing something from someone you admire. This simple, sophisticated and totally modern event will fit your personality to a tee.

Ivory

At its best, Ivory is neutral, relaxing, and calming. This color represents some of the same pureness about the color white, but also offers the feeling of pleasantness because of its relaxed tones. You’ve got to be a hopeless romantic because you can’t wait to see your partner's face when he or she sees you come down the aisle.  Petals cover the church, along with a Horse-drawn carriage to carry you away and every detail of your wedding has been thought through thoroughly. Understanding elegance is your sense of style and with order and efficiency your life creates peace and harmony by candle-light.

Blush

Blush is totally a free-spirited and fun-loving color.  You definitely have a sensual, sexy innocence to you. And, you are all about throwing an amazing party with great music, food and décor. Your guests won’t want to get off the dance floor because the quality of luxury all around them allows them to engage in your wedding day. They’ll be so in awe over your taste in venue, food, and décor that they won’t want to leave. Every gorgeous detail down to the over-the-top centerpieces and eye-catching crystals will create an environment of independence and simplicity.

Blue

Blue is the color of the sky and sea, which we mostly see when looking up. It is often associated with depth and stability, and it symbolizes trust and loyalty. Talk about having the freedom to do whatever you want on your wedding day. Your guest will be so relaxed they’ll take time to visit with one another, laugh together, and share their thoughts in this calming environment. And because, as the Bride who chose to wear this color, you’re so genuine and sincere with deep yearning for harmony, it’s unlikely you’ll ruffle any feathers. Get ready for a relaxing self-discovery in your new marriage.
